New Bangladesh envoy to Iran meets President

Bangladesh's newly-appointed ambassador to Iran AFM Gausol Azam Sarker met President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in the city on Wednesday, reports UNB.

President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.

The Ambassador sought directives and cooperation from the President.

The head of the state hoped that the ambassador will work on developing the bilateral relationship with Iran.

Hamid also said the ambassador will be more active in extending the potential of trade and investment scope between the two countries.

The President also assured the ambassador of providing all-out cooperation.

Secretaries concerned to Bangabhaban were also present during the meeting.
