Low likely to form over Bay today

A low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay and adjoining area today (Saturday) as seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay. Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted it in an update on Friday morning. — UNB

Touhid to lead BD at UNAOC Global Forum

Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain is set to represent Bangladesh at the 10th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), scheduled to take place in Cascais, a coastal resort town in Portugal, from November 25 to 27. The adviser will leave Dhaka for Lisbon tomorrow (Sunday) to attend the event to be held under the theme "United in Peace: Restoring Trust, Reshaping the Future - Reflecting on Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity". — BSS

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan has accorded a reception to the gallantry award holders heroic freedom fighters of Bangladesh Air Force, heroic members of 'Kilo Flight' and their successors at BAF Shaheen Hall at Tejgaon in the capital. The contribution of the heroic freedom fighters and the members of Kilo Flight are remembered with utmost respect by the nation.
