Architect Nilufer Zafarullah has been re-elected chairperson of Education Science Technology and Cultural Development Trust (ESTCDT) for a two-year term, while Salma Karim has been elected vice chairperson of the trust for the same period, says a press release.
They were unanimously elected at a meeting of the trust recently.
Nilufer Zafarullah was a member of the 9th and 10th Parliament. She served as the Chair of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during period from 2012 to 2013. She is also the chairperson of Midland Bank Ltd.
Salma Karim is the editor of IWC at Gulshan. She is also a member of Kurmitola Golf Club, Gulshan Club and Gulshan Ladies' Community Club.
She was the president of the Commonwealth Women's Association when she was living abroad with her husband Ambassador MM Rezaul Kaim.
