NSU holds lecture on crafting budget

The Department of Law, North South University (NSU), in collaboration with the NSU Law and Mooting Society hosted a session of its 'Business Law Talks' series, featuring a special lecture titled "Law and Economics of Crafting a Budget That May Work for Bangladesh" on its campus in the capital on Sunday, says a press release.
Professor A K M Waresul Karim, Dean of the NSU School of Business and Economics, delivered the lecture. Dr. Md. Rizwanul Islam, Professor of Law and Dean of the NSU School of Humanities and Social Sciences, provided the opening remarks. Saquib Rahman, Senior Lecturer at the NSU Department of Law, moderated the session.

NSU Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Nasar U Ahmed was the chief guest. He gave a speech on investment on education, terms of equity, and proper allocation of finances in budgeting.
NSU Treasurer Professor Abdur Rob Khan was the special guest, who talked about the incidence of tax, and the impact of taxation on the marginalised and underprivileged people.
The event convened an audience ranging from students, academics, and legal and economics enthusiasts.
