NSU holds Quran Conf’ce

North South University (NSU) hosted the "NSU Quran Conference and Seerah Exhibition 2025" at the NSU Plaza in the city recently, says a statement.

Shaykh Ahmadullah, Islamic scholar and chairman, As-Sunnah Foundation; Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari, Islamic scholar and chairman, Hasanah Foundation; Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque; Maulana Abul Bashar Md. Saiful Islam, general secretary of the Insaf Foundation and Adviser of Jamiatul Uloomil Islamia, Dhaka; and Professor Mokhter Ahmad, Islamic scholar and director, Daffodil Islamic Centre, Daffodil International University; addressed the grand conference.

M. A. Kashem said, "For the first time in 32 years, an event like this has been organised where we were able to express our identity as Muslims."

Mufti Abdul Malek said to earn Allah's pleasure, it is essential to follow the guidance of the Quran that shows the way from darkness to light and helps overcome the challenges of life.

Maulana Abul Bashar Md. Saiful Islam said the Quran is a complete guide for building a meaningful life.

Professor Mokhter Ahmad said the Holy Quran is the best example of how a book can transform someone's life.

Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari said Islam is a knowledge-based religion whose teachings are simple and practical, though people often make them complicated.

On the same day, a discussion titled "Muslimahs' Challenges in the Modern Era" was held at the NSU Central Auditorium. The Seerah Exhibition began on 8 Dec and continued till 12 Dec.
