NSU organises talk on human rights

North South University's (NSU) School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) organised a talk titled "Human Rights and National Security: Why Open Societies Need Open Voices" on Thursday, according to a statement.

The session, held at the NSU Syndicate Hall, was part of the NSU SHSS Distinguished Lecture Series. Prof Abdur Rob Khan, NSU Treasurer and Pro-VC (in-charge), moderated the event.

The keynote speaker was Irina Schoulgin Nyoni, Ambassador for Human Rights, Democracy, and the Rule of Law at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden.

In his opening remarks, Prof Md. Rizwanul Islam, Dean of SHSS, expressed his gratitude to the distinguished guest for her presence and insightful contributions.
