NSU ranked top pvt university in BD

North South University (NSU) secured a position in the 351-400 band in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2026, becoming the No.1 private university in Bangladesh along with Daffodil International University.

The Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2026 evaluated a total of 929 universities from 36 countries and territories, making it one of the most comprehensive regional assessments of higher education institutions, according to a press release.

Universities were assessed across core performance areas, including teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook, based on a rigorous methodology comprising 18 performance indicators.

Among Bangladeshi institutions, the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and the University of Dhaka (DU) secured the highest positions, both placed within the 301-350 bracket. NSU's strong standing among the country's universities further reinforces its leadership role within the private university sector.

Expressing his satisfaction with this achievement, Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, vice-chancellor of North South University, stated, "This recognition reflects the collective dedication and hard work of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni. We remain committed to strengthening our academic quality, advancing research initiatives, and expanding international collaborations to enhance NSU's global standing further."
