Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (current charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, and Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of North South University (NSU), displaying the agreement at the signing ceremony on Monday. Community Bank Bangladesh PLC and North South University Startups Next (NSUSN) signed a memorandum of understanding (mou) at the NSU campus in the capital on Monday, according to an official statement.
Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (current charge) of Community Bank, and Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of NSU, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. Senior officials from both the organisations, including Samuel Mursalin, Director (in-charge) of NSUSN, were present at the event.
The strategic partnership is designed to foster entrepreneurship by offering banking support, essential financial literacy, funding opportunities, and ecosystem assistance to early-stage startups in Bangladesh.
The bank will provide specialised training and workshops to NSUSN ventures on financial topics as well as explore opportunities to offer preferential services and potential funding support for NSUSN's incubation programmes.
