One more dengue patient dies

Health officials from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) have reported 120 new cases of dengue, with one death recorded in the past 24 hours until Tuesday morning, reports BSS.

"Of the 120 fresh cases, 12 were hospitalized in Barishal division, 59 in Chattogram division, six in Dhaka division (excluding the capital), 18 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 10 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), three in Khulna division, nine in Mymensingh division, one in Rajshahi division, and two in Sylhet division," stated a DGHS release.

Since the beginning of this year's dengue outbreak, Bangladesh has reported 413 deaths and a total of 102,793 cases. In comparison, last year, the disease claimed 575 lives and affected 101,214 people.
