Online application for DU admission begins Aug 05

Online application for admission into the first year honours courses in Dhaka University (DU) under the 2019-2020 academic session will begin on August 5.

The online application process will begin at 4pm on the day and will continue till 12am on August 27.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the DU's admission committee for the first year honours programmes, held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, said a press release. Presided over by DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, the meeting was attended among others by Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Dr Muhammad Samad, convener of the online admission committee Prof Dr Subrata Kumar Aditya, chairmen of various departments, directors of various institutes, registrar, and officials concerned.

The admission test for 'Ka' unit will take place on September 20 while the admission test for 'Kha' unit will be held on September 21, the test for 'Ga' unit on September 13, that for 'Gha' unit on September 27, that for 'Cha' unit (general knowledge) on September 14 and the one for 'Cha' unit (drawing) on September 28, the release added.

The admission tests will be on total 120 marks- including 75 for the MCQ part and 45 for the written part.

Admission seekers will get 50 minutes time for the MCQ part and 40 minutes for the written part.

Details of the admission process will be available soon on the DU website, the release added.
