Parvez killing case: Prime accused Mehraj remanded

A Dhaka court on Friday placed Mehraj Islam, 20, prime accused in the case lodged over the brutal killing of Zahidul Islam Parvez, a student of the Textile Engineering Department at Primeasia University, in the city's Banani area on April 19 on a five-day remand, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehera Mahbub passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to place him on a 10-day remand. A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 on April 23 arrested Mehraj.
