Police arrest 13 in city for mugging, drug trading

Police, during a raid on Friday, arrested 13 people, who were allegedly involved in mugging and drug trading for a long time in the capital's Kamrangirchar area. Cases were filed against the arrestees, and they were produced before the court.

The arrestees were: Md Shafiqul Islam (20), Md Tanvir Hossain (22), Md Nayeem Mollah (20), Md Nahid Hossain (20), Md Ripon Islam (20), Md Sakib (25), Md Sayeem (18), Noor Mohammad (24), Md Kawser (20), Md Ramzan (25), Md Sujan Kha (30), Shaheen Munshi (40), and Md Shaheed Khan (35).

Meanwhile, police arrested two other persons for their involvement in robbing cattle from a pickup van at Kalabagan in the city.

Md Sohel Mia (33) and Md Faruk Hossain (38) were arrested after a case involving cattle robbery was lodged by trader Md Mehdi Hassan against 10-12 unknown people at Kalabagan Police Station.
