Police arrest three 'robbers'

GOPALGANJ, July 07 (UNB): Police arrested three people from the backyard of Moharjpur Land Office in Maksudpur Upazila early Saturday while they were taking preparation to commit robbery in the area.

The three were identified as Asad Munshi (36), son of late Kashem Munshi hailing from Jhuti village of the same upazila, Alamgir Sheikh (39), son of Ahammad Ali Sheikh of Daiba Nandanpur village in Boalmari Upazila of Faridpur district and Monir Mridha (30), son of Azad Mridha, resident of Chhondapur village of Madhukhali Upazila of the same district. Being informed, police conducted a drive at the place and arrested the trio while 03-04 of the gang managed to flee the scene, said SI of Muksudpur Police Station.
