President leaves for London today

President Md Abdul Hamid will leave Dhaka for London this (Saturday) morning for medical checkup, report agencies.

"A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President will take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:30 am on Saturday," President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin said.

Abdul Hamid will undergo medical checkup at Moorfield Eye Hospital and Bupa Cromwell Hospital.

He is likely to return home on October 29.

Earlier, the 74-year old President Hamid underwent health checkup there in April.

Abdul Hamid has been suffering from glaucoma since long. He used to have his health checkups in London while he was the Speaker in the Jatiya Sangsad.
