Prisoner dies in Kashimpur jail

GAZIPUR, Nov 07 (UNB): A prisoner, who was sentenced to life behind bars, died in Kashimpur Central Jail on Saturday.
Nizam Uddin, 42, was sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case and had been in the prison since 2012, Jail Superintendent Md Shafikul Islam said.
"The prisoner was suffering from severe chest pain in the morning. Then he was taken to the hospital and was declared dead there at 7:45am," added the jail super.
