Prof Dr Shamsad Mortuza has been appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) for a four-year term, says a press release.
Chancellor of ULAB and President Abdul Hamid appointed him to the post, effective from September 6, 2018.
Prof Mortuza joined the university as the Professor and Head of Department of English and Humanities on August 1, 2016. Prior to that, he acted as the adviser of the Department from September, 2013.
Dr Shamsad Mortuza is a professor (on leave) of English Department at the University of Dhaka. Before joining ULAB, Prof Mortuza taught at many universities including his alma mater Jahangirnagar University.
