RAB arrest a fraud in city

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a person from the Dhanmondi area in the capital on Friday for his alleged involvement in selling Facebook page by deception.

The arrestee was identified as Mobarok Hossain (22) who has allegedly took away Tk one million from a person by deception.

According to RAB, Mobarok has sold a Facebook page to the victim and later he (Mobarok) himself hacked the page. The victim has purchased Facebook page from Mobarok in 2021.

Later, Mobarok hacked the page and took away money worth over Tk one million from the victim by resorting threats of implicating the person (the victim) with false cases.

Following the complaint by the victim, the elite force started investigating the matter and arrested Mobarok from the capital's Dhanmondi area.

Mobarok has confessed to his involvement in selling fake Facebook page for long time and amassed a hefty amount of money. He has achieved the tactics to deceive others by seeing social media and YouTube.

Later he developed a fraud gang to deceive others in the name of selling Facebook page.
