RAB arrests one over extortion, drug trading

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Sunday arrested a person from Korail slum area in the capital over his alleged involvement in extortion, drug trading, and mugging.

The arrestee was identified as Md Rakib Hossain (24).

Acting on a tip off, a RAB-1 team nabbed Md Rakib Hossain, a RAB official said.

A pistol, two rounds of bullets, and a magazine of ammunition were recovered from his possession, the RAB official also said.

"Efforts are underway to nab other accomplices of Md Rakib Hossain," he added.
