Rights bodies seek trial of two hill girls' killers

Three women's rights organisations demanded on Wednesday exemplary punishment for those who were involved in the killing and violating two tribal girls, reports UNB.
They made the demand at a human chain in front of the National Museum at Shahbagh in the city.
Hill Women's Federation, Bangladesh Adivasi Nari Network and Bangladesh Nari Pragati jointly organised the human chain programme.
A Class-X girl from Tripura community was reportedly gang-raped by Bangalee settlers at the Zilla Parishad Park in the district town of Khagrachhari on June 21. Police arrested five people after the incident.
A Marma girl was killed after being gang-raped allegedly by four Bangalee settlers in the district on June 17.
