Rizwan Bin Farouq elected to DEA's Int’l Award's IC

Rizwan Bin Farouq has been elected as Duke of Edinburgh's International Award's (DEA) International Council (IC) Member for the Asia Pacific sub region (South Asia) for the 2025-2028 term.
In this role, he will collaborate with IC members and others to address policy matters and oversee the operational functions of the International Award Foundation (IAF), according to a press statement.
His duties will include reviewing and approving agendas and arrangements, ensuring implementation of decisions, and accepting qualified National Award Operators as provisional members.
Mr. Farouq has been a dedicated advocate for youth development in Bangladesh through his dedication to The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award representing Rangoonwala Foundation UK at the DEA Bangladesh Foundation.
In recognition of his ten years of voluntary service, he was honoured with a Letter of Commendation and a Royal Mint Coin by the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Edward, the statement added.
