Road crash kills three in Dhamrai

SAVAR, Aug 04 (UNB): Three people were killed and 30 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Dhamrai Upazila of Dhaka on Friday.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Witnesses and Fire Service sources said a 'SurSjamukhi Paribahan' bus collided with a 'Setu Paribahan' bus at Joypura bus stand on Dhaka-Aricha highway at around 07:00 pm, leaving three people dead on the spot and 30 others injured.

The injured were taken to Dhamrai Upazila health complex where the condition of five of them was stated to be critical, said sub-inspector Julfiker Haid of Dhamrail Police Station.
