RU 'A' unit admission test held

The admission test for the Arts, Law and Social Science faculties under the 'A' Unit of Rajshahi University (RU) for the 2025-26 academic session was held smoothly on Saturday in two shifts.

The first shift started at 11:00 am, while the second shift began at 3:00 pm at multiple examination centres across the country.

After visiting several centres, RU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Saleh Hasan Naqib said, "The 'A' Unit admission test for the 2025-26 session is being conducted in two shifts today. We expect around 85-90 per cent of registered candidates to have participated. As in previous years, the examinations are being held in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rangpur and Barishal."

He added that no untoward incidents had been reported so far. "Everything is proceeding smoothly. Various organisations, including the proctorial body and law enforcement agencies, are providing full cooperation," he said.

Referring to incidents reported during the 'C' Unit (Science) admission test on Thursday, the vice-chancellor said, "There were some attempts to use modern methods of malpractice.
