RU postpones convocation due to minister's illness

RAJSHAHI, Mar 13 (UNB): The 10th convocation of Rajshahi University has been postponed on Tuesday due to the illness of Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid.

The convocation was scheduled to be held on March 24.

The fresh date will be fixed following a decision of President Abdul Hamid, Chancellor of the university, said Professor Probash Kumar Karmakar of public relation office of the university.

The education minister expressed his inability to attend the event on schedule as he will require surgery on his eye on Wednesday, said the official.
