Salary scale of 234 fisheries deptt employees upgraded

The fisheries and livestock ministry has upgraded the salary scale of 234 fisheries department employees of six categories, reports UNB.

Their salary has been raised to Scale 11 from 14 and 16.

The field level employees of the fisheries department have been demanding a raise in the pay scale for long time. The recent move has met their expectation.

Field assistants, hatchery technicians, lab assistants, laboratory technicians cum pump operators, hatchery assistants, and data collectors who have completed a four-year diploma in fisheries from the department will enjoy the benefit.
