Satkhira road crash kills woman, grandson

SATKHIRA, Dec 18 (UNB): A woman and her grandson were killed while her husband sustained severe injuries as the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a pick-up on Satkhira-Khulna road at Kumira village in Keshabpur Upazila on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Farida Begum, 50, wife of Samad Morol of Bhabatipur village in the upazila and her grandson Saad Hossain, 14, son of Abdul Alim, hailing from Tailkupi village in Tala Upazila.

Witnesses said the pick-up hit the motorcycle from behind in the afternoon, leaving the duo dead on the spot and Samad Morol severely injured.
