On arrival at Naval Headquarters, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) Rear Admiral M Makbul Hossain welcomed the Royal Saudi Naval Forces Commander.
A Naval Contingent of Bangladesh Navy gave him a guard of honour.
During the call-on, Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury exchanged greetings with Vice Admiral Fahad Bin Abdullah Al-Ghofaily and thanked him for his visit to Bangladesh.
The Navy chiefs laid emphasis on further strengthening the relationship between the two brotherly nations.
They also discussed different issues of bilateral interests.
Besides, the visiting Royal Saudi Naval Forces Commander was also given brief idea about BN training system, operational activities and capabilities. He also signed the visitor's book in Naval Headquarters, the release added.
Later, Vice Admiral Fahad Bin Abdullah Al-Ghofaily met Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division at Dhaka Cantonment Lieutenant General Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman.
