Sheikh Moinuddin joins as transport sector spl assistant

Bangladeshi expatriate Dr Sheikh Moinuddin, a transport expert, took over the charge of special assistant for the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges on Sunday to assist the caretaker government in the sector.

He was appointed as the special assistant to the status of a state minister, according to a circular issued on March 5.

Prior to joining, Dr Moinuddin had served as the head of Safety and Operation Division of California Department of Transportation since 2023. He was also the project manager of the same division before taking charge as the head.

A BSC and MSC degree holder on civil engineering from Luciana University of America, Sheikh Moinuddin did PhD on infrastructure and environment from California University.
