Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir on Monday announced its panel for the upcoming Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (RUCSU) election.
Abdul Mohaimin, former president of Shibir's RU unit and its central social welfare secretary, made the announcement in front of RUCSU office.
According to the announced panel, Mostakur Rahman Zahid, president of RU Shibir, will contest for the vice president (VP) post, while Fahim Reza, former coordinator, will run for the position of general secretary (GS). The assistant general secretary post will be contested by Salman Sabbir, former RU Shibir president.
The panel further includes Hamidullah Nayeem as sports secretary, Abu Sayeed Nayeem as assistant sports secretary, Zahid Hasan Jhoha as cultural secretary, Rakibul Islam as assistant cultural secretary, Saeeda Hafsa as women affairs secretary, and Samia Jannat as assistant women affairs secretary. For Information and Research, Najmus Saqib and Sifat Abu Saleh have been nominated as secretary and assistant secretary, respectively.
The media and publication portfolio will be contested by Mujahidul Islam and his assistant Asadullah Hil Galib, while Hasan Hawlader and Mujahidul Islam Sayem will vie for science and technology secretary and assistant secretary. In debate and literature, Imran Laskar has been nominated as secretary alongside Noyon Mursalin as assistant secretary. Abdullah Al Masud will contest for environment and social welfare secretary, with Masuma Islam Momo as his assistant.
Additionally, four candidates -- Dip, Sujon Chandra, Imjiyaul Ali, and Khalid Hasan -- have been nominated for the position of executive member.
