Six burnt in gas explosion in capital

Six people sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at the Pakistan Maat area in the city on Monday, reports UNB.

The injured were rushed to the emergency unit of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery at around 10:00 pm, according to Dr Shaon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon of the institute.

"One of the patients suffered 11 per cent burns along with suspected inhalation injury and has been admitted for treatment. The others are under observation," he said.

The institute's director visited the injured along with on-duty doctors and issued necessary medical instructions, he added.
