Tanzimuddin, Anwar Hossen made UGC members

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has named Dhaka University (DU) professors Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan and M Anwar Hossen as new members, reports bdnews24.com.

The Ministry of Education issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.

After the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, the former chairman of the UGC, Prof Kazi Shahidullah, resigned on Aug 11 from Australia, citing his illness.

The government then appointed former DU vice-chancellor SMA Faiz as the new chairman of UGC on Sept 5.
