Tarique Rahman inaugurates Free Animal Clinic

BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman on Wednesday inaugurated a 'Free Animal Clinic' in Banani area of the capital to provide free medical services to animals.
The clinic, located at Building No. 18, K Block 24 (Lekpar) Road, Banani, is an initiative of the Bangladesh Animal Welfare Association (BAWA).
Tarique Rahman is the chief patron of BAWA.
BAWA leaders stated that their mission is to create a safer environment for all animals.
In addition to raising awareness about animal and nature conservation, it operates a free ambulance service to assist injured and sick animals in Dhaka.
Through this clinic, BAWA aims to provide free treatment to various animals, including strays.
Its organisers noted that prompt medical attention for injured or sick animals can significantly improve their chances of survival. They also expressed the hope that this initiative would increase public participation and awareness in the protection of animals. Following the inauguration, Tarique Rahman toured the clinic and its facilities.
