Three bikers die as train hits them in Gopalganj

Three motorcycle riders were killed in Gopalganj after they were struck by a train on an unmanned level crossing, reports bdnews24.com.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday on Gopalganj Sadar Upazila's Bhennabari Rail Crossing, said Abdul Barek, superintendent of Gopalganj Sadar Police.
Two of the deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Raju Sikdar and 19-year-old Tanvir Chowdhury Rocky.
The Tungipara Express train was heading towards Gopalganj from Rajshahi when it hit the motorcycle on the Bhennabari level crossing on the Gopalganj-Borni road, said SI Barek.
"The crossing is unmanned. The signal bar had not been lowered as the train approached the crossing."
"We haven't found any eyewitnesses to the incident. But it appears that the three youths riding the motorcycle were crossing the rail track when the train rammed into them.
