Three die in 24 hrs with measles-like symptoms

The health authorities on Monday reported three more casualties due to measles-like symptoms and over 1,100 new infections in the past 24 hours. With the new fatalities, the measles-related deaths rose to 741 since mid-March this year. Of the total fatalities, 93 were confirmed cases, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) bulletin.

Meanwhile, 947 suspected and 159 confirmed measles infections were recorded in the past 24 hours. The total suspected measles infections rose to 106,565 and confirmed infections to 12,791 since mid-March, said DGHS.
