Three held over Shariatpur bomb explosion

Police have detained three individuals over the crude bomb explosion in Zajira upazila of Shariatpur that killed two people and injured several others, reports bdnews24.com.

The explosion occurred in Mulai Beparikandi area of Bilaspur union, reportedly when crude bombs were being made in a house.

Criminal Investigation Department on Friday sent a team to the scene to collect evidence.

Zajira Police Station chief Saleh Ahmed said the scene is littered with evidence, with the house where the bomb was being made completely blown away, throwing evidence all over the place.

The explosion occurred on Thursday at a newly built house. It killed Sohan Bepari (32) on the spot. The other victim Nobin Hossain (28) passed away at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
