‘Tk 1.0tn Zakat can be collected a year’

Bangladesh has the potential to collect Zakat worth Tk 1.0 trillion per year, as informed by a speaker at a press conference of the Center for Zakat Management (CZM) on Thursday.

CZM will be organising a two-day Zakat fair starting tomorrow (Saturday). Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin will inaugurate the fair at the Aloki Convention Center on Tejgaon-Gulshan Link Road.

Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mazid, the Convener of the Fair Organising Committee and also a Member of the CZM Executive Committee, announced this decision at a press conference at the Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) in the city on Thursday.
