Two persons, including a minor boy, were killed in two separate incidents on Wednesday in the city's Airport and Ramna area.
The passenger of ride-hailing service Pathao was killed in a road accident in the city's Airport area.
The victim was identified as Nazmul Hasan, 32, Airport police station Officer- in- charge (OC-Inspection) Md Ezaz Shafik said.
A double-decker bus hit the motorcycle carrying the victim and biker, from back side at 8.30 am, he added.
"The victim was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in a critical condition, where the attending doctor declared him dead at around 10.00am," he said.
The biker was also injured in the incident.
The dead body was handed over to the victim's family members after conducting an autopsy, the OC said.
Meanwhile, a six-year-old boy on Wednesday drowned in a temporary water tank of an under-construction building in the city's Ramna area.
The victim is Sunny Ahmed, Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp in -charge Sub Inspector (SI) Bachchu Mia said.
Quoting the victim's family members, he said the first-grader had been missing since morning.
"Family members found him sunken in the water tank nearby their residence in Eskaton Garden area at around 11.00am," he said.
The boy was initially taken to a local hospital and later to the DMCH where the on-duty doctor declared him dead after 1.00pm, the SI said.
The dead body was kept in the DMCH morgue for conducting an autopsy.
