ULAB hosts 8th Convocation

The Eighth Convocation of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) was held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the capital on Tuesday, centring around the theme "Informed Minds, Inspire Paths"
Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor for the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and the Ministry of Water Resources, was present in the programme as the Chancellor's representative, according to a statement of the institution.
University Grants Commission (UGC) Member Professor Dr. Mohammad Ayub Islam attended as the special guest. Apex Footwear Limited Managing Director Syed Nasim Manzur delivered the convocation address.
Syeda Madiha Murshed, Member of ULAB Board of Trustees, and Professor Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor of ULAB, also spoke on the occasion.
Tashin Huq was awarded the Valedictorian's Award. Additionally, two students - one from the undergraduate programme and one from the graduate programme - were honoured as Gold Medallists for their academic performance.
This year, a total of 1,508 students - 1,111 undergraduates and 397 graduates - received their certificates.
