'Uncle kills nephew' in Ctg

A man was recently killed, allegedly by his uncle, in Haidgaon union of Chattogram's Patiya upazila, over owed money. The victim was identified as Md Rusel (22), son of Jamal Mia, hailing from the union's Hajipara area. Rusel was rushed to Patiya Upazila Health Complex by his family with stab wounds on both sides of his neck on Saturday. The on-duty doctors declared him dead on arrival. "An intense altercation broke out between Jalal and his nephew Rusel over debt. Jalal stabbed Rusel in the neck. The incident lead to his death," said Abu Zayed Md Nazmun Nur, officer-in-charge of Patiya Police Station. Jalal runs a tea stall in Chattogram's Hathazari upazila. Sources from the police said Rusel's body was sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A case was also filed at the Patiya Police Station in connection with the incident. — OUR CORRESPONDENT
