The "Universal Students' Union" panel contesting the Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (RUCSU), hall unions, and Senate student representative elections has announced a 12-point manifesto, pledging reforms aimed at academic, administrative, and campus life improvements.
The manifesto was unveiled at a press conference held in front of the Siraji Building on Tuesday at 2:00 PM.
The 12 commitments include: formulation of an academic masterplan, establishment of a "Research and Impact" office, introduction of a one-stop solution for fee payments, creation of an effective and strong alumni network, demand for holding vice-chancellor elections, securing Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) accreditation for engineering students, formation of a "Food and Public Health Monitoring Group," provision of individual institutional email IDs for all students, ensuring a depoliticised and multicultural campus environment, establishment of an International Student Community Forum, internal communication coordination within the university, and full implementation of the T-SSC system.
Speaking at the event, Tasin Khan -- who has made history as the first-ever female candidate for vice president (VP) in RUCSU's history -- said, "We have only one year. That is why we focused on commitments that are realistically achievable within this period. Our manifesto seeks to address the core problems students face on a daily basis."
