The University of Development Alternative (UODA) has organised a fair for admission seekers of honours and masters programmes, aiming to get meritorious and poor students, said a press release.
The admission fair started on Tuesday and it will continue until December 31 this year. The university authority held a press conference marking the fair on its campus at Dhanmondi in the city on Tuesday.
While speaking at the press conference, UODA founder president Prof Mujib Khan said this university has no commercial policy or trend from the beginning.
"We will continue non-profit policy in this university as we think education is not a commercial matter, it is the rights of citizens," he said.
Mujib Khan announced to find out brilliant and poor students to provide educational opportunity for them.
UODA Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ahmedullah Mia, Registrar Prof Dr Iffat Chowdhury and other high officials were present at the press briefing.
The admission fair will remain open from 9.00am to 5.00pm at UODA registrar office (80, Satmasjid Road, Dhanmondi) and UODA CSE department (3/C Satmasjid Road, Dhanmondi).
