Wall collapse kills minor boy in Rohingya camp

COX'S BAZAR, June 11: A minor was killed and his parents were injured in a mud wall collapse in a Rohingya refugee camp on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sultan (3), son of Rohingya refugee Abdus Shukkur, Sultan was an inmate of number seven makeshift shelter under Kutupalong refugee camp of Ukhia upazila.

When contacted, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ukhia thana Mohammad Abul Khaer told this correspondent that it was the first casualty of the monsoon as storms wreak havoc in the crowded camps.

Magistrate and camp in-charge of the Kutupalong refugee camp Rezaul Karim said at least 300 makeshift shelters of the camp were damaged in heavy gusty wind with rainfall in last three days
