Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in the next 24 hours until 6:00 pm today (Thursday).

Weather may remain dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, Met Office said.

Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the regions of Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Pabna and Badalgachih and it may continue.

The country's highest temperature of 38.8 degrees Celsius was recorded on Wednesday in Jashore and Chuadanga and the lowest of 22.2 degrees in Tetulia of Panchagarh. Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

The sun sets in the capital today at 6:31 pm and rises tomorrow (Friday) at 5:19 am.
