Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions in the next 24 hours from 06:00 am today (Tuesday), according to the Met Office.

It may also occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy fall.

Mild heat wave may sweep over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions. Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

The highest temperature in the country on Monday was recorded at 38.5 degrees Celsius in Rangpur, while the lowest temperature at 25.0 degrees in Cox's Bazar.

The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 36.6 degrees Celsius on Monday and the lowest was 29.3 degrees.
