Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Sylhet division and weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country until 6:00 pm today (Friday), according to the Met Office.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Faridpur, Rajshahi, Ishurdi, Khulna, Jashore and Chuadanga, and it may spread. Day and night temperature may rise slightly.

The highest temperature was recorded on Thursday at 37 degrees Celsius in Jeshore and Chuadanga, while the lowest was 18 degrees Celsius in Rajarhar of Kurigram. The sun sets in the city today at 06:07 pm and rises tomorrow (Saturday) at 06:08 am.
