Light to moderate rain/thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions until 6:00 pm today (Friday), according to the Met Office.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the districts of Noakhali, Feni, Patuakhali, Cox's Bazar,Laxmipur and Bandarban.

The highest temperature of the country was recorded on Thursday at 37.6 degrees Celsius in Jashore, while the lowest temperature was 21.3 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.

The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 32.3 degrees Celsius and the lowest was 24.5 degrees Celsius.
