Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensing, Dhaka, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country in the next 24 hours until 6:00 pm today (Friday).

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Khulna, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushtia and it may abate, Met Office said.

The country's highest temperature of 37.2 degrees Celsius was recorded on Thursday in Jashore and the lowest of 25.01 degrees in Sayedpur and Rangamati.
