Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Barishal divisions.

Moderately heavy to heavy falls are likely to occur at places over the country in next 24 hours until 6:00 pm today (Thursday), reports UNB.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Khulna, Satkhira, Jashore, Dhaka and Kishoregonj and it may continue at some places, the Met Office said.

The country's highest temperature 37.1 degrees Celsius was recorded on Wednesday in Nikli and the lowest 22.4 degrees in Bodol Gashi.
