Weather to remain mainly dry

Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at one or two places of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

The well-marked low over Gazipur and adjoining area weakened further into a low pressure area and then became unimportant.

The southwest monsoon withdrew from the north-western part of Bangladesh and conditions are favourable for further withdrawal from the remaining part of Bangladesh, according to the Met office.

The day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall up to 2.0 degrees Celsius over the country.
