Worker goes missing after falling into Karnaphuli River

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 05: An 18-year-old labourer went missing in the Karnaphuli River on Sunday after falling from a vessel while unloading fish. The incident occurred near the Ishanganj Sea Resource Jetty on the southern bank of the river.
The missing worker has been identified as Jisan.
Following the incident, police and divers from the Karnaphuli Fire Service and Civil Defence launched a search operation.
The OC of Sadarghat Nou Police Station said they were yet to locate him.
