Youth held with eight gold bars

CHATTOGRAM, Nov 11 (BSS): Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested a youth with eight gold bars worth about Tk 550,000 from the Chattogram Rail Station area this morning.

On a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid in the area and arrested youth Joshef Uddin Rumon, 30, son of Jahir Ahmed, with the gold bars and ten tola of other gold at 05:00 am on Wednesday, said Mohammad Mohsin, officer in-charge of Kotwali Thana.

A case filed with Kotwali Thana in this connection, he added.
